📦 Product Description

Fimoxyl is a broad-spectrum penicillin-class antibiotic effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It inhibits bacterial cell wall biosynthesis and is stable in stomach acid with rapid oral absorption, reaching peak plasma levels within 1–2 hours 

Indications include:

• Ear, nose & throat infections (e.g. otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis)

• Lower respiratory infections (pneumonia, bronchitis, lung abscess, bronchiectasis)

• Skin & soft tissue infections (e.g. cellulitis, abscesses, infected wounds)

• Genito-urinary tract infections (e.g. cystitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis)

• Acute uncomplicated gonorrhoea (single-dose therapy)

• Dental abscess (short term use)

• Triple therapy for H. pylori eradication (with clarithromycin & lansoprazole) to reduce duodenal ulcer recurrence

⚠️ Dosage & Administration

Adult Doses:

• Standard: 250 mg TID (three times daily)

• Severe infection: Increase to 500 mg TID 

• Specific cases: Dental abscesses, UTIs, or gonorrhoea may require 3 g single dose or repeated after 10–12 hours depending on condition 

Pediatric Dosage (up to 10 years):

• Mild to moderate: 125 mg TID

• Severe: Up to 250 mg TID

• Children with recurrent respiratory infections may require up to 3 g/day divided dose 

Renal Impairment: Dosage adjusted based on creatinine clearance; consult physician 

Administration Notes:

• Can be taken with or without food; milk/juice suspension should be used promptly after reconstitution to maintain potency
