   As a non-specific inhibitor of drug metabolism, interacts notably with phenobarbital, phenytoin, warfarin, aspirin, and others. Contraindicated in liver dysfunction, urea cycle disorders, porphyria, and during pregnancy due to high risk of neural tube defects (e.g., spina bifida) and developmental impairment. Should be avoided or carefully managed in women of childbearing potential.
